Thursday’s announcement stunned the media world with little explanation of why she was no longer with the network. In a brief statement, Fox said: “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” and said her departure was effective immediately. Hours later, media watchdog Status provided more details. According to the outlet, after Trump gave a speech in July about election interference, Fox Business officials ordered the network’s top stars to stay clear of Trump's unsubstantiated claims. Several outlets noted that Fox gave little airtime to Trump’s speech in the hours and days that followed. Bartiromo then leaked the company directive to the White House, according to Status . It's unclear if she reached out first, or the Trump team made the request....

By Hannah Nightintgale It was revealed on Thursday that the jury in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial returned a note to Judge William Sullivan informing him that there was one holdout juror in deliberations who was "refusing" to follow his instructions on reasonable doubt. The note was returned as the length of deliberations stretched over 35 hours and led Clancy's defense attorney to demand that the juror be replaced. Shortly after they were sent back to their deliberations, the judge sent them home for the day. Sullivan brought the jury back into court, questioning them each one by one, and told them to abide by his instructions, and clarifiying those on reasonable doubt. Once the jury had been cleared, prosecutors and defense were able to speak in open court. The feminist icon who ushered in the second wave of a movement of female empowerment and equality was 92 .  Born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1934, Steinem was a "founder of New York and Ms. magazines, and is the author of An Unexpected Life, The Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Piss You Off, My Life on the Road, Moving Beyond Words, Revolution from Within, and Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions, in addition to many collections and essays," a biography on her website said. By the 1960s, nearly half of the lawyers in the United States were members of the ABA. Congress, Presidents, and the courts consulted the ABA closely as a trusted advisor on all legal matters. Three police officers were among those hurt, and the suspected gunman was among the dead, officials said. Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) Sgt. Garrett Parten said at a news conference that it's unclear how the suspected gunman died. MPD police officers were at the site of the shooting, which involved "multiple victims," the city said, including the three law enforcement officers .   Officers were shot in the shin and abdomen, sources told said.
