Manhattan Grand Jury Probe Against Trump Expires Without Charges

Image
By Nick Monroe A Manhattan grand jury in a criminal probe against former President Trump expired on Friday. While the current district attorney had previously vowed the investigation he inherited was going to continue, sources say Alvin Bragg has since declined to move forward. According to the Washington Post , when senior prosecutors Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz quit , it was seen as a death knell for the investigation. Sources speaking to the outlet said the grand jury "had been inactive for weeks" by that point. New York Attorney General Letitia James is partnered with Bragg in the probe. Lawyers speaking to the outlet anonymously say they’re unsure a criminal case against Trump will move forward here. But the Attorney General’s official spokesperson says the investigation is still alive. Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg looks to have killed Trump probe after saying he wouldn't. Former prosecutors on case assailed him for inexplicable decision favor

Let’s Pray For Peace And Not Nuclear War

Image
By BEN STEIN Friday I awakened and looked out my window. A hummingbird was flying around facing me and a jacaranda and overlooking my immense blue pool. There were palm trees and cedars of Lebanon. It was a small bit of heaven. There was no Gestapo chasing me. No air raid sirens telling me Russian or Chinese rockets were bearing down on me. My wife, world’s finest and kindest and smartest and most beautiful woman, was lying in bed at the other end of the hall reading Fourth Edition of AA. Down a long flight of stairs to my kitchen. My nurse (I hurt my knee) toasted an English muffin for me. I walked across a small garden and up some stairs to my office. It’s all windows and I love it. I am old now. I’m 77. But I am IN AMERICA. That means I can be free. I can own guns. I can support Trump one day and Biden the next. I can drink all the fresh orange juice I want. I can eat steak or Skuna Bay salmon every night. That is the best food on earth. Remember that name: Skuna Bay sa

Jeff Bezos Loses Huge Chunk of His Fortune as Amazon Takes a Turn for the Worse

Image
By Jack Davis Amazon posted a huge quarterly loss Thursday, costing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos billions as the company’s stock plummeted. Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index lists Bezos as the second-richest person in the world after Elon Musk. On Friday, as Amazon stock dropped 8 percent in value, Bezos was looking at a $13 billion loss unless the stock rebounds. Amazon posted a $3.8 billion loss in the first quarter of the year, its first quarter in seven years without a profit, according to The Washington Post . The Post report noted that Amazon’s 7 percent revenue increase was slower than usual and linked the modesty of the increase to the end of pandemic-induced lockdowns that created a boom in online shopping, arguing that “that boom is starting to wane.” CNN noted that a year ago during the same period Amazon racked up a profit of $8.1 billion. Experts had expected Amazon to post a $4.4 billion profit. Amazon blamed its poor performance on a $7.6 billion loss linked t

Did Sen. Mitch McConnell want a riot on January 6?

Image
By Andrea Widburg Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell leaves the House chamber for the Senate to consider objections to certify Electoral College votes, at the US Capitol in Washington, January 6, 2021. It’s possible that, without Julie Kelly’s dogged journalistic efforts, almost no one would remember the January 6 martyrs, immured in dirty, cruelly-managed D.C. prisons for the sin of entering the Capitol last January. For 15 months, Kelly has lived and breathed the story, ferreting out every bit of information that the government isn’t hiding from defendants and journalists alike. That knowledge, combined with a book revealing Sen. Mitch McConnell’s feelings about Trump, lead her to suggest that McConnell encouraged the breakdown on January 6 to avoid protest votes against Biden’s assuming the presidency. I strongly urge you to read  Kelly’s entire article , because she includes chapter and verse to make her case. Here’s the short version: Mitch McConnell was as desperate as Democr

The Biden Regime Is Wrecking America

Image
By  OLIVER L. NORTH AND DAVID GOETSCH The damage wrought by this president is not limited to Ukraine, pain at the pump or flaccid foreign affairs. In a recent column, we charged President Joe Biden’s leftist energy policies and pathetically weak leadership with undermining America’s economy and financing Russia’s genocide in Ukraine. But the damage wrought by this president is not limited to Ukraine, pain at the pump or flaccid foreign affairs. All the policies of this hapless tool of the left are destroying the America we love and serve. Since day one of his presidency, Biden and his socialist puppet masters have tried to deflect blame from themselves to others for major problems they created for the American people. Their latest scapegoat is Vladimir Putin. The Russian war criminal can be blamed for much, but not the domestic crises afflicting We the People of the United States. Biden’s weasel-worded attempts to hide his ineptitude deceive no one. Americans paying historically high p

Image
And here's another suggestion that was sent to me by BonLovesFreedom. Thanks Bon! 🤗 Tex By Jack Davis A Texas woman killed an intruder who broke into her San Antonio home Thursday night. Police said the shooting took place at about 10 p.m., according to KSAT-TV when the woman, who was in her 30s, was in the house with her three children and heard noises that sounded like someone entering her home . Police said a man entered the house through a laundry room at the rear of the building. He then tried to break into the door leading to the main portion of the house where the woman and her children were located. When the woman saw the man, she shot him twice in the chest, according to KABB-TV . The man died on his way to the hospital, police said. KABB reported that the homeowner would not face charges under what is called the castle doctrine, which permits individuals to use the force required for protection when defending themselves at their home or place of w
