He is Risen

Image
God has already won.     By DR. SHERRI TENPENNY In November 2022, I did a special event series with Pastor Doug van Dorn, author of “Giants: Sons of gods.”  This is one of my favorite books. After our series, he was inspired to release an updated, 10th Anniversary Edition.  Find it here.  – The link to the series on the Giants is  here . In Week 2 of that 4-part series, Pastor Doug expanded on the death and resurrection of Jesus, calling it the  “greatest story never really told”  –  I’ve paraphrased part of our conversation here: This is the Apostles Creed: I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;  he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will c

Thousands Baptized After Seeing ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Phil Robertson’s Addiction, Redemption Story in Film

Image
By ALANA MASTRANGELO Thousands of people were baptized after watching  Duck Dynasty  star Phil Robertson’s story of addiction and redemption in the film  The Blind , his daughter-in-law Korie Robertson says. “We went to Phil to talk to him about doing this movie because it’s his story. He shows the hardest parts of his life, and that’s tough to put it out there on the screen,” Robertson  told   the Christian Post . The Blind , streaming on Great American Pure Flix, follows Phil Robertson’s life from his childhood to 1985. The film highlights the challenges he and his wife Kay Robertson faced during the early years of their marriage, as well as how the  Duck Dynasty  star struggled with anger issues, alcoholism, and emotional instability over his father abandoning his family — until he found Jesus. “Long before Phil Robertson was a reality-TV star, he fell in love and started a family, but his demons threatened to tear their lives apart. This is the true story that star

Biden-Mart: Super PAC Launches Website to Compare Grocery Bills Now to What They Were Under Trump

Image
By Cassandra MacDonald The Make America Great Again Inc. PAC has launched a new interactive website that lets people compare their grocery bills now to those under former President Donald Trump. The “Biden-Mart”  website  features an interactive checklist where users can “check off the items…to compile your weekly grocery list and see how much more expensive your bill has become under Joe Biden.” “Putting food on the table has become harder than ever thanks to ‘Bidenomics,'” the website explains. “As costs for everyday items continue to rise, American families are struggling more and more to foot the bill.” For example, under Trump, a two-pound pack of ground beef, five pounds of potatoes, a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, and a pound of coffee was $17.32. The same grocery order is now averaging $26.05 under Biden. The  New York Post  reports, “Biden-Mart uses data from the United States Department of Agriculture data to compare the prices from January 2021 — when Tr

Bill Gates, GMO Potatoes and McDonald’s French Fries — What’s the Story?

By Isaac Simpson In Tennessee, state GOP legislators are passing a bill to ban chemtrails. SB 2691/HB2063 is being called a “conspiracy theory bill” by “local media” (The Tennessean is owned by Gannett). It’s not about chemtrails but about real-life plans considered by the Biden administration to spray metal into the air to block climate change. Literally, “scorch the sun,” Matrix-style, using something called Solar Radiation Modification (SRM). SRM is the emission of reflective aerosols into the upper atmosphere to reflect sunlight and cool the planet. It sounds bad, which is why the Tennessee state senate passed the bill to ban all geoengineering and weather modification—it outlaws “conducting geoengineering experiments by intentionally dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere.” In reality, almost no SRM experiments have been conducted, and we have little experimental data on what its effects would be. But what we do know about SRM is that its effects would be global, and the a

Public School District Seeks Superintendent 'Unwaveringly' Opposed to Whiteness

Image
By Alex Parker What's the role of a school superintendent? Judging by a recent job posting, responsibilities are in flux.   Minnesota's St. Louis Park Public Schools [SLPS] district has placed a new entry onto its job board. The system seeks an assistant superintendent who's woke and will whack white supremacy. From  SLPSchools.tedk12.com : SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES As a member of the Superintendent’s leadership team, the Assistant Superintendent proactively supports the Superintendent to create and communicate antiracist structures and systems, works to interrupt systems of oppression, and serves as a role model for culturally relevant pedagogy.   RELATED:  Princeton Wants to Axe Tenured Professor Who Dared to Speak out Over School's 'Anti-Racism' Policies For those unfamiliar, "antiracism" pits white assailants against tanner victims. UCLA Law Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw has  described  it thusly: "Antiracism is the active dismantling of s

Eulogy: Sen. Joe Lieberman Made People's Lives Better

Image
Former Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman, I-Conn. (1942-2024) By Elliot Fuchs Joseph I. Lieberman, who died this week aged 82, was a giant of a man who I got to know as a college student when he taught me as a professor at Yeshiva University. The Senator (I don't think we ever called him professor) cared deeply about his students and his community. He taught for more than just the paycheck or for the credentialing, which he certainly didn't need, given his illustrious background. He took to the halls of YU with the active intention of growing and developing a generation of young, Jewish, leadership that would model the things he stood for: decency, excellence, intelligence, respectfulness, and collegiality. But the Senator did not just talk about his student's futures and ambitions, he aided us in achieving them. In one example, a friend destined for law school asked him for an internship at his law firm. He gave him one. With the benefit of hindsight (having now gone th

So why are church pews still so packed on Easter? Cardinal Dolan explains why

Image
By Monica Showalter Amid all the gloomy trends of Americans no longer embracing religion, it's curious that the churches, both Catholic and Protestant, remain packed on Easter. It's also the same for those of the Jewish faith on the high holy days, too. Mine was packed to the max last night for the Easter Vigil, and that mass was four hours long counting rehearsal time, and nobody got bored and left. Standing room only. Was yours? I bet it was, because every church I go to is that way, whether it's the exquisite Catholic parish community in Beverly Hills, or my fascinating multi-ethnic Catholic church in San Diego. They still pack them in on Easter, no matter what else goes on during the year or what the public tells the pollsters. Timothy, Cardinal Dolan, of New York, had some terrific insights about what he thought was going on in a beautiful essay in today's  Wall Street Journal , which appears to be freed from its paywall: True, on Easter Sunday the pews will be

Is This the End for Pennsylvania’s Undated Ballots?

Image
By The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board Judges in Pennsylvania have been arguing for four years about whether election officials must count undated mail ballots, since some voters always fail to fill in the required date field. The latest answer, issued by a federal appeals court on Wednesday, is no. The good news is that this could help stabilize a wild 2024 election that is now only months away. Pennsylvania’s election law, upheld by the state Supreme Court, clearly tells mail voters to “fill out, date and sign the declaration.” Last year, though, a federal judge ruled that the date field was effectively optional, citing the Civil Rights Act. That law prohibits states from denying a person the right to vote based on a nonmaterial “error or omission” on paperwork that is “related to any application, registration, or other act requisite to voting.” But if that interpretation is correct, where does it stop? States have all kinds of neutral, de minimis rules for voting. Pen

Conservatives at Inflection Point: Where To Go After Trump?

Image
By Mike Sabo After Donald Trump wrapped up what just might be the most inevitable primary in American history, energy and enthusiasm seem to be gaining on the Right. The most up-to-date RealClearPolitics polling average shows Trump up by 1.6 percent nationally over Joe Biden. Even more relevant for his re-election prospects, Trump leads Biden by an average of 3.2 percent in the top battleground states. Despite the protest of evangelical elites, at least 80 percent of evangelicals, if not more, will vote for Trump in the fall. As Trump gains ground, things are looking a bit bleaker for President Biden’s hopes for a second term in office. The southern border continues to be invaded, trillions are added to the national debt each year, the military is having an increasingly difficult time recruiting white males, mortgage rates look to stay high for the foreseeable future, the U.S. involves itself in yet more wars that further diminishes our reputation abroad, and formerly great

Georgia Authorities Arrest 150 for Allegedly Using Drones to Transport Guns, Drugs, and Cellphones into Prison

Image
By Anthony Scott Georgia Law Enforcement authorities, in a months-long investigation titled “ Operation Skyhawk ,” arrested 150 people for operating a drone-based operation that smuggled guns, drugs, and cell phones into Georgia prisons. Operation Skyhawk was a joint collaboration between the FBI and the Georgia Department of Corrections. During the raid, agents seized 87 drones used to drop contraband into Georgia prison yards, 22 weapons, 273 cellphones, and over $7 million worth of drugs. In the raids, agents arrested 150 people, including 8 Georgia Department of Corrections employees. In a statement to the press Georgia Governor  Brian Kemp  shared “Georgia will not tolerate those who put our communities at risk by trafficking drugs, weapons, and contraband both in and out of our correctional facilities,” A monthslong probe into an alleged drone-based contraband operation in Georgia's prisons has led to the arrest of 150 people, including eight correction officers, official

We Know DEI Is Starting to Collapse Because the Left Is Getting Weird About It

Image
By Brandon Morse It might not seem like it, but I'm getting the stark impression that the "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" (DEI) nonsense is now about to experience a harsh downhill slide, and I base that on the fact that the left is now starting to get really defensive about it.  More and more, I'm seeing accusations that what people really mean when they blame a major malfunction or failure to operate properly on "DEI" is the "n-word."  “DEI” is basically just a stand-in for the N word now pic.twitter.com/AfkZygoRe8 — philip lewis (@Phil_Lewis_) March 26, 2024 MSNBC's Joy Reid tried to push the same narrative, not on her show but in a weird video she uploaded of herself to the internet.  Joy Reid posted this bizarre rant last night on TikTok about DEI. Is she ok? pic.twitter.com/DyJNRjIeBh — End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) March 29, 2024 It's a bizarre reaction but not really a surprising one when you consider what DEI
