On the recordings, which were taken at a Friday meet-and-greet at Christopher Newport University, state Sen. Monty Mason and state Del. Shelly Simonds can be heard ripping Republicans over  S.B. 1515 , a bill that required pornography websites to verify a user's age to be at least 18 before allowing access to its content. By Sarah Arnold Oklahoma’s Senate passed a bill that would ban gender-affirming care, including surgeries and hormone and puberty blockers for minors.  Senate Bill 613 was voted overwhelmingly in favor of the bill, passing in a 37-8 vote by a Republican-led Senate. It is now heading to Gov. Kevin Stitt’s (R) desk, who is expected to sign it.  During the voting, Republicans argued that restrictions on transgender surgeries were necessary in order to prevent irreversible harm to children and protect them from the Left’s progressive push.  Sen. Shane Jett (R-Shawnee) praised the bill’s passage, saying that such life-alternating procedures are “medical malpractice” and the mutilation and sterilization of children. On the contrary, Democrats said the bill is an invasion of parental rights.  Sen. The offhand remark—Trump later said he did not know who the Proud Boys were—made the group “jubilant,” assistant U.S. Attorney Conor Mulroe told the jury on Monday morning.

By Jack Phillips A male gunman is still at large after allegedly shooting and killing five people, including a child, in Texas late last week that started with a noise complaint, officials said. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Francisco Oropeza, was allegedly asked to stop firing a rifle in his yard because a baby was trying to sleep, said the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect then allegedly opened fire, killing the five, including an 8-year-old during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 29. In an update posted on social media on Saturday night, the sheriff’s office said that “an extensive manhunt for Oropeza has not yielded his location.” No updates have been provided by the office as of Sunday morning. “If you have any tips or information, please call our office immediately at 936-653-4367. By streiff Last week, it became public that two officers in the US Army 5th Security Forces Assistance Brigade were under investigation for misconduct. The commander, Colonel Jonathan Chung , and the commander of one of the organic battalions in that brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Meghann Sullivan , have both come under official scrutiny for very different things, and very different things happened. Let me preface this by saying a) I don’t know anyone in this story, and b) the story is based on information that has appeared in the media. The Army is being closed mouth about the investigations, but they have had the opportunity to correct the record if anything has been misstated. They haven’t.
