By AWR HAWKINS FBI crime stats for 2018 show over five times as many people were killed with knives and/or other cutting instruments than were killed with rifles. The FBI data shows a total 1,515 deaths by knives and/or other cutting instruments vs. 297 deaths by rifle in 2018. This means the gap between murders with knives vs. murders with rifles has grown since 2017, for which FBI stats showed nearly four times as many stabbed to death as killed with rifles. The number of murders with a rifle hovered around 400 for the year 2017, then dropped to 297 in 2018. Ironically, over 100 more people were killed with hammers and clubs than were killed with rifles in 2018. It must be noted that the category of rifle includes all kinds of rifles, not just bolt action or semiautomatic, not just pump or lever action.  So the gap between knife homicides and rifle homicides or hammer/club homicides and rifle homicides would be even larger if contrasted only with semiautomatic rifles,

Amari Allen, 12, told NBC Washington last week that she was playing at recess at Immanuel Christian School in Springfield when one boy grabbed her arms, another put his hands over her mouth and a third cut her hair. "They said my hair was nappy and I was ugly," she said. The alleged incident garnered national attention partially because Vice President Mike Pence's wife, Karen, teaches part-time at Immanuel Christian School. Luis Avila on Monday after the wounded warrior sang “God Bless America” at a ceremony welcoming the incoming chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Avila sang the song with the military choir as Trump and other officials joined him. Avila was severely wounded by an improvised explosive device in 2011 in Afghanistan, losing his leg, and had two strokes and two heart attacks that left him nearly paralyzed. After 40 days in a coma, Avila woke up and responded well to music therapy, prompting his continued appreciation of music. By Katherine Rodriguez Police are investigating after drivers on I-75 in Auburn Hills, Michigan, saw a pornographic video playing on an electronic billboard Saturday night. Motorists began calling the Auburn Hills Police Department about the graphic images around 11 p.m., prompting police to dispatch a few officers to the scene to check it out and contact the people behind the billboard to shut it down, the Detroit Free Press reported. “It was very bizarre,” Chuck McMahon told WDIV. “I thought maybe it was a billboard for a strip club or something.” Auburn Hills Police Lt. Ryan Gagnon said the videos had been circulating for 15-20 minutes. The company in charge of the billboard, Outfront Media, took down the electronic billboard once it found out what was playing. But the company told WXYZ Detroit that it was not their billboard. It is unclear how many people witnessed the billboard, or if any children witnessed what was going on. By AWR HAWKINS Democrat presidential hopeful Robert “Beto” O’Rourke is trying to garner support for his AR-15 confiscation plan by tweeting about a 2013 shotgun attack in Virginia. O’Rourke put a tweet from “Beto for South Carolina” at the top of his personal account. The tweet features a video of a survivor of the 2013 New River Community College attack in Christiansburg, Virginia, and focuses on the trauma associated with the attack. It also talks of how O’Rourke’s gun control plans are spot on. The “Beto for South Carolina” video says, “We have to get these weapons, like the AR-15s and the AK-47s, out of hands that never should have been able to have them.” The video also shows O’Rourke saying, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.” The problem with all of this is that the New River Community College attacker did not use an AR-15 or an AK-47. By Dave Ball Crazy is generally defined as mentally deranged or not mentally sound.  When being mentally deranged, which includes being crazed, insane, demented, unbalanced, and unhinged, is focused on behavior toward President Trump, we see what is commonly called Trump Derangement Syndrome or TDS.  This behavior existed before his election but burst forth into full bloom the evening of November 8, 2016.  Democrats were then, and have been unable to since, accept that their pre-written version of history did not come true and that the basic premise of the inevitability of socialism was false.  They have not reacted well.
