"Once Upon a Time There Was a Revolution" - Service w Jack Hibbs Sunday, November 1, 2026

“The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people.” — John Adams, 1818

Before a single shot was fired, America’s revolution had already begun in the pulpits. In this Election Day message, Pastor Jack Hibbs takes us back to the Great Awakening and to the pastors the Crown called the “Black Robe Regiment.” These were preachers who understood that faith, freedom, and the responsibility of every citizen could not be separated.

You’ll hear the story of Pastor John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, who preached from Ecclesiastes 3, “a time of war,” then threw off his robe to reveal an officer’s uniform. We look at Samuel Adams’ appeal to Heaven, Benjamin Franklin’s call to prayer at the Constitutional Convention, and the first prayer of the Continental Congress.

Once upon a time, we knew who we were. We knew where we came from. We knew the God of our beginnings. We knew our dependence was upon Him, and we knew we would have to pray. America has lost her way, but she doesn’t have to stay lost.

Choosing is a God-given responsibility. By not voting, you are voting. Pray, and then act.
