The twisted elementary school educator accused of fatally stabbing a young woman jogging at a Brooklyn promenade wore an icy expression as police officers escorted him out of a Bensonhurst police station Saturday.

Sayed Mohassib, an ex-cop who worked as an NYC public school aide, appeared dazed as he was walked out of the 62nd Precinct at 4 p.m.

Hours earlier, he had been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the Oct. 30 slaying of Katie Suarez along the Shore Parkway Greenway.

He wore a bright red Von Dutch jacket and appeared chillingly calm as he stared blankly at the reporters and shell-shocked students who gathered to see him leave the stationhouse.
Police sources told The Post that Mohassib, 27, claimed he woke up covered in blood with no memory of the ruthless attack.

He said he ditched the knife in the garbage, and cops believe the trash was taken to a Staten Island landfill before ending up at a New Jersey dump.

Officers tracked him down to his Bensonhurst home after picking him up on video leaving the Shore Parkway Greenway around the time Suarez, 28, was fatally knifed, the sources said.

Mohassib did a brief six-week stint with the NYPD before leaving for the Marines – who deemed him mentally unfit for the unit of service and turned him away.

He was working as a paraprofessional at PS 200, which is across the street from the 62nd Precinct, when he allegedly killed Suarez, who was a TD Bank teller in Gravesend.

He returned to the school just days after allegedly carrying out the savage murder. A 12-year-old boy who attends the elementary school told The Post that Mohassib was acting “off” last week.

“He was acting a little bit, like, I don’t know, weird. A bit off,” he recalled.
Two other students said they saw him talking to himself. “He was nervous, worried,” one said.

Mohassib’s colleagues noticed him speaking incoherently and acting erratically. They reported the concerning behavior to police, though their reports weren’t what ultimately led to his arrest, sources said.
