Watch As Even a CNN Anchor Delivers an Epic Schooling to DSA Co-Chair

By Nick Arama

We've been treated to a lot of bad takes from the socialists of late.

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) platform includes all kinds of unhinged things, including abolishing the Senate, borders, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), prisons, and even defunding the Pentagon.

They've shown they're all in for "taxing millionaires" — but then can't even describe how that would work.

If there was any further evidence of how ignorant and unhinged their positions are, their position on Fidel Castro showed how delusional they truly are.

They lauded 100 years of Castro, praising him as a "fighter" and "stalwart symbol of anti-imperialist struggle." They're angry that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been putting pressure on Cuba to change for the benefit of the people. They even ridiculously termed Rubio's actions a "genocide," which only goes to show that they don't understand that term either. They don't seem to give a darn about how Castro, his family, and the Communists oppressed the people of Cuba for decades, which is why so many Cubans have fled to the U.S.

However, the DSA was in for an epic schooling when one of their co-chairs, Ashik Siddique, went on CNN and was cornered on Castro by anchor Boris Sanchez. Sanchez is of Cuban descent, so he knows whereof he speaks. He let Siddique have it.

Sanchez said he gets that he can have different thoughts on foreign policy, "but lauding Fidel Castro is a different story."

Then Sanchez explained how Castro locked his grandfather up and sentenced him to 20 years "for speaking his mind, for expressing himself freely, for trying to organize politically." He asked Siddique how he thought the DSA position on Castro was going to go over with people who had experienced all of that. "I don't think it would land well with them, Ashik," Sanchez declared.

Siddique was taken aback. You could tell he didn't know what to say after that. He likely didn't anticipate that he'd face that type of pushback on CNN. He stammered and deflected, saying that they were seeing many people suffering under "massive inequality" in the U.S.

Cuba can't keep the lights on and won't give their people basic freedoms. I think we beat them on every level when it comes to freedom, whether Siddique refuses to acknowledge that fact or not.

These are the people Democrats are opening the door to and letting into their "big tent."
