Wait, What? Iowa School Superintendent Is an Illegal Alien

By Ward Clark

This is a chilling turn in the entire illegal alien saga. In Iowa, the superintendent of schools in Des Moines was not only in the country illegally, but was also under a deportation order, and when ICE officers attempted his arrest, he fled - and was found to have a handgun, a hunting knife, and $3,000 in cash in his vehicle.

You can't make this stuff up.

Bill Melugin's X post continues:

Fox is told Dr. Roberts fled from ICE agents in his car once they ID’d themselves as immigration agents, speeding away, then abandoning the car. He was found in a brushy area 200 yards away with the help of an Iowa State Police K9. Per ICE official, agents found a loaded gun, a “fixed blade hunting knife”, and $3,000 cash in Dr. Robert’s vehicle.

Per senior ICE official, Roberts first entered the U.S. in 1999 on a F-1 student visa at St. John’s University was ordered removed from the United States on May 22, 2024, with proceedings being held in absentia.  On April 24, 2025, an Immigration Judge in Dallas, TX denied a Motion to Reopen his immigration case.

Fox is told Dr. Roberts also has a weapons arrest in 2020, though the disposition of that charge/case is currently unclear.

More details as they come…

(Mugshot is from prior arrest).

Here's a photo of the handgun, which appears to be a Glock semi-auto. We might note that it's against the law for an illegal alien to possess a firearm.

This man was a superintendent of schools?

Some example this school superintendent sets. He's in charge of the education system for Des Moines, Iowa, schools, and he's in the country illegally? He's driving around with a loaded handgun, which, as an illegal alien, he is prohibited by law from owning or being in possession of? And what's up with $3,000 in cash?

This man's story smells to high heaven. And what's up with the Des Moines school system? To rise to the position of Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Ian Andre Roberts would have had to have been in the system for some time. Did they not do any due diligence on this guy? Not even the most elementary background check? Not even verifying that he was in the country legally, and eligible for employment?

And since he was employed by the school district, what Social Security number did he use? Was it his? How did he obtain it?

The good news is this: Ian Andre Roberts is now on his way back to Guyana, where he belongs.

And, yes, this is what we voted for.
