Pete Hegseth Has a Chef's Kiss Response After Karen Bass Celebrates 'Troops Retreating' From LA
By Sister ToldjahReal leaders know how to actually lead and make the tough decisions, while wannabe types preen before the cameras and virtue signal on social media about allegedly standing up to those leaders.
That is where the city of Los Angeles continues to find itself under the purported leadership of Mayor Karen Bass (D), who was living her best life on a trip to Ghana on behalf of the Biden-Harris administration in early January, even as advance warnings were given of the potential for the deadly wildfires that eventually broke out and devastated parts of LA.
Unfortunately, Bass is still failing the residents of her city, as we saw throughout the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots in June, which got so out of control thanks to Bass's denial of reality that President Donald Trump stepped in, calling in National Guard troops to help restore order. This prompted a legal battle between Trump and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) over whether Trump had the authority to do so.
On Thursday, the New York Times reported that more troops were withdrawing from the area in addition to the ones that the Pentagon released earlier this month:
The Pentagon on Wednesday released more than a thousand troops who had been sent to Los Angeles in June, the latest scaling back of President Trump’s contentious deployment of the National Guard in Southern California.
The withdrawal of roughly 1,350 members of the Guard comes after thousands of other troops were released in recent weeks. Sean Parnell, the chief Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement that about 250 Guard soldiers would remain in Los Angeles “to protect federal personnel and property.”
The demobilization of most of the California National Guard’s 49th Military Police Brigade occurred with only about a week left in what the White House had suggested would be a 60-day deployment that began on June 7.
Though this is obviously because the mission is mostly complete, Bass spun the "troops retreating" as a "win," insinuating that the "pressure" she had put on the Trump administration was working:
Yeah... no. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth set her straight:Another win for Los Angeles tonight: 1,000 more troops are retreating.

We will continue this pressure until ALL troops are out of L.A.https://t.co/spbTtO09TS
You’re welcome Mayor.

These brave troops are redeploying because their mission was so successful.
You should be thanking them for saving your city from mobs & chaos.
We will continue to support law enforcement—even when you won’t. https://t.co/BQPKfDQTJk
Absolute horse crap. The "retreat" happened because the administration considered the current operation a success and decided it was time to scale back. This had NOTHING to do with anything sorry a** Dems in CA did. Nothing. pic.twitter.com/LDAwi3a6AR

I said what I said.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
