New: Police Share More Details on Bend Shooting, Including the Actions of a Second Selfless Hero

Image
By Sister Toldjah We reported earlier on new information learned about the Bend, Oregon, mass shooting that happened Thursday, where a 16-year-old gunman opened fire and killed four people, including three children who were students at the Silver Rail Elementary School, and also injured two others before being taken out by a heroic armed community member. To quickly recap, the shooter was identified as John J. Griffin II, who reportedly first took aim at a nearby truck before turning his attention to the school around 1 PM local time. The man who intervened and prevented more injury and loss of life was named as 36-year-old carpenter Kaylub Giamanco, who has two young daughters who are Silver Rail students. In a Friday afternoon presser, authorities in Bend provided more details on what happened, pointing to additional heroics from an unarmed female teacher who thankfully was not injured: Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz credited [Giamanco] and a teacher at the school for actions t...

Secret Service No. 2 Just Resigned As 'Friendly Fire' Drone Controversy Blows Wide Open

Image
By Teri Christoph The second in command at the U.S. Secret Service abruptly resigned Friday, just as the agency is facing some increasingly uncomfortable questions about its counter-drone program, including allegations that agents who celebrated taking one down at last year’s Army-Navy game had actually knocked one their own drones out of the sky. Deputy Director Matt Quinn announced his resignation in an internal agency email that went out Friday, according to Susan Crabtree over at RealClearPolitics (RCP). His last day will reportedly be November 7. Quinn originally retired from the Secret Service back in 2021, then spent three years working as a senior vice president at Fortem Technologies, the company behind the DroneHunter counter-drone system, before returning to the Secret Service last year in the role of deputy director. And that connection is drawing some serious scrutiny. Quinn appeared alongside Secret Service Director Sean Curran in a 60 Minutes segment last Sunday, an...

This Is Why We Can't Trust the Legacy Media: 'Mr. Ben Carson' vs. 'Dr. El-Sayed'

Image
By Ward Clark A tale of two people arises today. One of them is an esteemed medical practitioner, a pediatric neurosurgeon without peer, who did brain surgeries at Johns Hopkins, one of the world's foremost teaching hospitals. Oh, and he ran for president as a Republican, abandoning the run when it became clear it wasn't in the cards. That would be Dr. Ben Carson. The other is a progressive Democratic Senate candidate who earned his medical degree at Columbia University and a D.Phil. in public health from Oxford, but never completed a residency, obtained a medical license, or practiced clinical medicine. That would be Abdul El-Sayed.  Their medical careers could hardly be more different. Yet the New York Times has referred to the retired neurosurgeon as “Mr. Carson” while calling El-Sayed “Dr. El-Sayed.” Unless, of course, you're writing for the New York Times, in which case they reverse the honorifics — and Dr. Carson himself had a quick reply . Someone should ask John...

CA Woman's Dog Voted for Years. Now He's a Freeway Star.

Image
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. –– A criminal case against a Costa Mesa woman who registered her dog to vote has been dismissed after she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and paid for anti-voter fraud billboards, prosecutors announced today. Laura Lee Yourex, 64, originally charged with five felonies, had her case dismissed after completing the terms of a plea agreement reached in April, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office. As part of the agreement, Yourex was required to pay $1,500 for four billboards along the Costa Mesa (55) and Garden Grove (22) freeways warning against voter fraud and featuring a photograph Yourex posted on social media of her dog, Maya Jean Yourex, posing with a vote-by-mail ballot while wearing an “I voted”’ sticker. “Don’t be a dog. Voter Fraud is a Crime. If you can’t legally vote, don’t vote. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office will prosecute,” the billboards state. They also display the district attorney’s election fraud hotline, (71...

AOC’s Eye-Popping Cash Dump to El-Sayed Shows Extremist Dems Are Panicking in Michigan

Image
By Rusty Weiss Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) has just dropped an eye-watering $1 million cash transfer onto progressive Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and his campaign, an amount that even the New York Times seems surprised by. The donation, routed through a joint fundraising committee in the final weeks before Election Day, comes as El-Sayed tries to hold off Republican Mike Rogers in a contest both parties are treating as essential to Senate control. The Times flagged the injection of funds as unusually large for a House member intervening in an out-of-state race. The outlet described the sum as huge for any House member , particularly one writing a check far outside her own district. It's a rare intervention. They even compared it to billionaire Gov. JB Pritzker (D) of Illinois, who donated a cool million to the Democrat nominee for governor in Texas.  He's a billionaire. With a 'B'. AOC is supposed to be the humble Lexy from The Bloc...

'Absurd': Prof. Turley Exposes Big Problem With Roy Cooper's Media Threat and Puts Him on the Spot

Image
By Sister Toldjah RedState reported Wednesday on the completely over-the-top, troubling response Roy Cooper's legal team issued to a North Carolina-based media outlet in response to questions they sent inquiring about the Democrat Senate nominee's health and whether he'd be able to serve the full six years of a Senate term if elected. Attorneys from the D.C.-based Elias Law Group, founded by election-denying Democrat super-lawyer Marc Elias, sent a cease-and-desist letter to the North State Journal (NSJ), a statewide newspaper, within five hours of the standard inquiry. They condescendingly wrote in part, "Let us make this exceedingly simple and crystal clear to you: Governor Cooper intends to complete his entire term, and any suggestion that he is 'experiencing a neurological issue,' or that any health condition would prevent him from completing his term, is categorically false and defamatory ." In the letter, the full contents of which can be read h...

Did the Democrat Socialists' Blue Tsunami Crest Too Soon?

Image
Had enough of this... yet? Now's not the time to go all wobbly. By Kurt Schlichter What goes for drug dealers also goes for political addicts and pundits — don’t get high on your own supply. We want to believe what we want to hear. Confirmation bias is a real thing. It’s out there, waiting to suck you in and turn you out. That’s why I try to be rigorously objective. I try to look at the facts. I’m by nature an optimist, or rather, I’m always looking for an edge, a way, a means to counterattack and seize the initiative, and I always assume it’s there. But of course, Patton's flipside is Pollyanna. Sometimes you’re trying to save the Kobayashi Maru whether you’ll like it or not, and you’re never going to be Captain Kirk. But let me tell you, here’s what my gut is telling me — the Democrats have peaked. Just a couple of weeks ago, it looked pretty dire. A lot of people told us we were about to be swamped by a blue tsunami. Well, in the last couple of weeks, they modified tha...

Alleged Chinese Agent Tied to $15 Billion Cambodian Scams

Image
By Ward Clark We've known this for some time, of course. China is at best a rival, at worst, an adversary. It may one day be an outright enemy. We've seen time and again reports of Chinese nationals in the United States, up to various nefarious schemes. One such is the supposed Irvine, California realtor Wanying "Heather" Zhang, who is in hot water with the FBI over accusations that she is an unregistered foreign agent. Now, it seems she is also involved with a Cambodian crime syndicate that has allegedly bilked Americans out of millions in various fraud schemes . Last week, the FBI charged Irvine realtor Wanying "Heather" Zhang , 34, with operating as an unregistered foreign agent after they allegedly caught her surveilling the Taiwanese president's son in Seattle in 2025. She was accompanied by a travel companion whom CBS News has identified as Fatai Miao, 54. Zhang seems to be doing very well indeed for a realtor. Now that's a profession whe...

Serial Liar And Russia Hoaxer Ken Dilanian Should Not Be Allowed Within 500 Feet Of A Newsroom

Image
By Brianna Lyman Dilanian, like many others of the propaganda press, has a record of publishing dubiously sourced claims that hurt Republicans and help Democrats, with corrections coming only after the stories have shaped public debate. MS NOW’s Ken Dilanian was caught spreading fake news about FBI Director Kash Patel on live television Wednesday, adding to a long history of peddling propaganda such as the debunked Trump-Russia collusion hoax. MS Now’s Peter Alexander paused his show Wednesday, announcing FBI Director Kash Patel “landed in Russia for a meeting scheduled to take place there. That’s according to two people familiar with the matter.” MS Now’s Ken Dilanian joined, telling Alexander, “We don’t know what Kash Patel’s doing in Russia, and that’s one of the things concerning our FBI sources.” The only problem with this scoop is that it was entirely false. Less than three hours after providing this breaking scoop, Dilanian was back on the network apologizing for the fake n...
