Biden Tells Wild Tales About Kitchen Fire Again, as FEMA Director Makes Bad Comment on Aid to Maui

Image
By Nick Arama Joe Biden's  one event on his public schedule for the day was remarks concerning the "whole of government response" to the disastrous  fire on Maui  and the response to Hurricane Idalia in Florida. "Whole of government response" seems to be a relative term when it comes to Biden and his Maui response, which has been bad, to say the least--not just because of his remarks and the optics, but also because of not getting answers and assistance to the people on the ground.  Biden started off by saying that he didn't think anyone could  "deny the impact of the climate crisis,"  immediately seeming to ignore the facts in the case in Maui, which at this point seem to indicate the fire being started by downed powerlines, although there has not been a formal declaration as to "cause" yet. Maui County, though,  did sue Hawaiian Electric, , so that's a pretty good idea about what they think.  But then he went on to talk again ab...

More than 1,600 scientists, including two Nobel laureates, declare climate 'emergency' a myth

Image
By Addison Smith The global coalition of scientists say that politics and a journalistic frenzy has propelled a doomsday climate change hysteria. The signatories also ask other scientists to “address uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming.” A coalition of 1,609 scientists from around the world have signed a declaration stating  “there is no climate emergency”  and that they “strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy” being pushed across the globe. The declaration does not deny the harmful effect of greenhouse gasses, but instead challenges the hysteria brought about by the narrative of imminent doom. The declaration, put together by the  Global Climate Intelligence Group  (CLINTEL), was made public this month and urges that “Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific.” CLINTEL is an independent foundation that operates in the fields of climate change and climate ...

Angry Indians: Yet another instance of Native Americans having it up to here with the left

Image
By Monica Showalter The left has romanticized and claimed guardianship over Native American peoples for years. Anecdotally, most of us who know Native Americans know they can't stand it. But now we are seeing a lot of instances of Native Americans pushing back at their cloying 'guardians' on the left who are starting to get overbearing. Here's their latest outrage, according to Ethan Brown, writing at  RealClearEnergy : On June 2, the U.S. Department of the Interior  blocked  oil and gas leasing for the next twenty years within a ten-mile radius of Chaco Canyon — the site of a  Puebloan  civilization in now-northern New Mexico dating back over a millennium. Despite some  support  from people within the Pueblo tribes and Navajo Nation which surround the land, the vast majority of Navajo leaders have  opposed  these drilling restrictions. It's their land. Why shouldn't they be able to develop it as they see fit? Why is i...

Gun controllers are losing the long game

Image
By Cam Edwards On today’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co we’re highlighting an  insightful piece  from  Reason ‘s J.D. Tucille about why even polls showing majority support for gun control measures offer little comfort to the anti-gunners themselves. As Tucille points out, those polls are likely to undercount the actual number of gun owners in this country but are also contradicted by other surveys showing growing and bipartisan mistrust of the government. Lying to researchers out of concern the government will obtain and misuse survey responses emphasizes a major challenge to gun control advocates: Americans overwhelmingly obtain firearms as a safety measure and also view the  government  itself as  dangerous . “Public trust in government remains low, as it has for much of the 21st century. Only two-in-ten Americans say they trust the government in Washington to do what is right ‘just about always’ (2%) or ‘most of the time’ (19%),” Pew  not...

NASCAR crosses a legal line in going woke

Image
By Jazz Shaw It turns out that NASCAR has been running an internship program designed to help younger people get a leg up and break into the business in various capacities. That’s kind of nice, isn’t it? Professional auto racing is a very competitive and  expensive  sport to dive into, so some interested folks could likely use a helping hand. But there’s one problem with the racing organization’s “diversity internship program.” (You’re probably already able to guess where this is going.) People are welcome to apply, but only if they meet certain “racial criteria.” In other words… whites need not apply. And some legal analysts are already  describing this to The Daily Wire  as being “blatantly illegal.” NASCAR offers a paid “diversity internship” that excludes white people from applying on the basis of their race, a stipulation a constitutional lawyer tells The Daily Wire is “blatantly illegal.” The race car giant’s “ diversity internship program ” states that the...

Tucker Carlson: Corrupt Intel Agencies And The D.C. Uniparty Are Ushering In The Real ‘End Of Democracy’

Image
By Jordan Boyd Unless agencies like the CIA are stopped, Carlson said the U.S. will continue to ‘decline’ and see its ‘democratic institutions weaken.’ Tucker Carlson admitted on Wednesday that he’s “never been this worried about anything” as much as he is about where the country is headed under a deep state that repeatedly targets its political enemies and “rigs” elections instead of acting on voters’ desires. Carlson made his anxieties about the state of our constitutional republic known in an  interview with Adam Carolla , who asked the former Fox News host to weigh in on the coordinated effort by intelligence agencies and political elites to keep former President Donald Trump from taking back the White House. To kick off the question, Carolla showed Carlson a  clip  of now-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer telling MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in January 2017 that it was “dumb” for Trump to “take on the intelligence community” because “they have six ways from Sunday at ge...

Tucker's Interview With Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, 'Call Back Trump' to Avoid WWIII

Image
By Nick Arama I reported on Tucker Carlson's  interview with Balazs Orban , the political director for Hungary's prime minister Viktor Orban the other day. Now the  interview with Viktor Orban  himself is out and it's very interesting. First, Orban said he thought it was a wrong take to think Ukraine was winning because Russia had more numbers. He also said the Russians weren't going to get sick of Vladimir Putin and throw him out. Then, he explained that if any Western country would send boots on the ground, then we would be in a "Third World War.” "It's a very dangerous moment now," he said. "The Third World War could be knocking on our door so we have to be very very careful."   Tucker asked what should NATO, what should Joe Biden's next move be regarding Ukraine. Orban said, "Peace." Then he followed up with, "Call back Trump. That's the only way out." Tucker Carlson asks Viktor Orbán what his next move wo...
