New White House Media Bias Website Just Turned on the Floodlights
By Ward ClarkPresident Donald Trump is still a marketing guy at heart. He understands messaging, and he hires people who share his understanding of the value of messaging. This is something Republicans haven't always been all that good at.
Case in point: The Trump White House has just launched a media bias page on the official White House website, and it's a safe bet it will be entertaining for some time to come; after all, the legacy media gives the Trump administration so much to work with.

The opening video takes on the shameful Democratic "illegal orders" display. Now, this isn't a media bias thing per se, but the legacy media faithfully ran with the story.

THE TRUTH The Democrats and Fake News Media subversively implied that President Trump had issued illegal orders to service members. Every order President Trump has issued has been lawful. It is dangerous for sitting Members of Congress to incite insubordination in the United States’ military, and President Trump called for them to be held accountable.
KEY POINTS
• Democrats released a video calling for service members to disobey their chain of command, and in turn, implied President Trump had issued illegal orders.
• President Trump has never issued an illegal order. The Fake News knew that but ran with the story anyway.
Here's the thing: The new media (you're reading an example of it right now) has turned the old model on its head. CNN, when it first opened for business, set a new model for news reporting in being among the very first successful cable news channels; before that, it was the Big Three television networks and the various national and local newspapers. But while cable news gave American news-seekers more options, the internet really exploded the selection.
In other words, Americans interested in the news of the day aren't limited to the legacy media anymore. This does not, however, make calling out the legacy media's bias any less important.
This site gives the White House a forum to refute, directly, the more egregious cases of legacy media bias and misreporting; the onset of Stage IV Trump Derangement Syndrome seems to have kicked them into high gear, and it's good that the Trump White House seems willing to match them blow for blow.
