Who Caused the Counter-Revolution?

Image
Tribalism and racialism, and government spoils allotted by superficial appearances, are the marks of a pre-civilized society.   By Victor Davis Hanson At some point, some president was going to have to stop the unsustainable spending and borrowing. To have any country left, some president would eventually have had to restore a nonexistent border and stop the influx of 3 million illegal aliens a year. Some commander-in-chief finally would have to try to stop the theater wars abroad. But any president who dared to do any of that would be damned for curbing the madness that his predecessors fueled. And so none did — until now. Not since Franklin Roosevelt’s rapid and mass implementation of the New Deal administrative state have Americans seen such radical changes so quickly as now in Trump’s first month of governance. Americans are watching a long-awaited counter-revolution to bring the country out of its madness by restoring the common sense of the recent past. It is easy to run up m...

Please Be Nice to Us, Mr. Trump! Mexico Extradites 29 Prisoners to US—Including Murderous Drug Lord

Image
By Bob Hoge In an apparent bid to gain favor with President Trump, who has promised to enact tariffs against Mexico starting March 4, the Mexican government has extradited 29 prisoners wanted by the feds to the U.S. The list of miscreants includes notorious drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero, who was reportedly behind the brutal murder of a DEA agent. They’ve turned over what sounds like some  truly nasty characters : Mexico has extradited  drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero , who was behind the killing of a U.S. DEA agent in 1985, to the United States with 28 prisoners requested by the U.S. government, a Mexican government official said Thursday. The official, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case, confirmed Caro Quintero’s extradition. Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office said in a statement that the 29 prisoners extradited Thursday faced charges related to drug trafficking among other crimes. Mexico’s government is trying to head off U.S. Pr...

Meet These 'Essential' Federal Workers, Taxpayers!

Image
If you ever worked in the private sector, you know exactly what those bankers' boxes carry. By J. Peder Zane I confess: I’ve always had back-handed respect for public sector workers. It seemed to me they had figured out how to earn decent money with great benefits while avoiding the stress and strains of the private sector. This perception was probably colored by my short stint working for my home state, where most colleagues seemed to have about four hours of labor in their eight-hour day. The only cushier job I’ve ever had was teaching at universities. But now, the legacy media is telling me I got it all wrong – that this may be the one case where lived experience (my own) is not an infallible barometer of truth. Since the Trump administration began trimming the federal workforce, reporters have been working overtime to depict most every employee as a tireless, mission-driven servant performing essential tasks. Each one is all that stands between us and chaos. Who knew? ...

Conservative Women Are Happy. Liberals Aren't. Why?

Image
In 2023, research published by the University of Chicago found that "being married is the most important differentiator" between happiness and unhappiness by a 30-point margin. By Nicole Russell One of the weirdest reactions I saw after President Donald Trump was reelected in November involved videos on social media of young liberal women in hysterics over the results of our democratic process. Some even vowed to shave their heads and swear off having sex with men. I don't remember losing my mind when Joe Biden was elected president in 2020. I was disappointed, but angry and depressed? No. Turns out, there's data behind this phenomenon. New research shows that young conservative women are much happier than liberal women. The findings are about far more than political ideology. They demonstrate fundamental differences between Republicans and Democrats. According to the 2024 American Family Survey, liberal women ages 18-40 are far less likely than conservative ...

Manliness Is Great Again: Trump Just Ended Biden's Hostile DEI Takeover of First Responders

Image
By Teri Christoph This story slipped quietly under the radar, but it turns out that the Biden administration had been suing several police and fire departments for neutral recruiting practices that judged candidates on their mental and physical aptitude and not gender or race. In other words, the defendants were being sued for hiring those who could actually do the job instead of lowering their standards to meet bogus DEI quotas. And the Trump administration just put an official end to all that nonsense.  On Wednesday, with the  support  of President Trump, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi  dismissed  several lawsuits that the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) had brought against jurisdictions that put ability above gender or race. In a press release, the DOJ declared: "These lawsuits, launched by the previous administration, unjustly targeted fire and police departments for using standard aptitude tests to screen firefighter and police officer candidates." IndyCar Bucks The System Of Endless Sports Streaming With Single Broadcast Option

Image
By Christopher Jacobs Unlike most other sports leagues, which have sliced and diced their licensing rights to maximize revenue, IndyCar has done the opposite. For once, a sports league appears to be putting its fan base over its bottom line. Imagine that. When the IndyCar season begins this Sunday with the year’s first race in Saint Petersburg, Florida, it will do so with a new broadcast partner. But unlike most other professional sports leagues, which have sliced and diced their television licensing rights to maximize revenue at the expense of  aggravating fans , IndyCar has done the exact opposite. One Broadcast Network Fans who want to watch this open-wheel racing series have a relatively simple option: Tune in to Fox on weekend afternoons this spring and summer — that’s it. No cable partners, no streaming services to mess around with, no trying to remember which broadcast partner carries which race. Just 15 Sunday afternoons (and two Saturday afternoons thrown in) between ...

Inflation Reduction Act More Like 'a Giant Slush Fund'

Image
When the going gets tough for Democrats, fixers like John Podesta get the call. By Liz Peek The outrage over $2 billion being handed to a Stacey Abrams-related start-up by the defeated Joe Biden administration is justified. But it is not surprising. Climate spending by the Biden White House was always political. In 2022, President Joe Biden tapped long-time Democrat operative John Podesta to oversee the disbursement of $375 billon to climate-related initiatives – monies that were included in the dishonestly named "Inflation Reduction Act." Those funds were supposed to be spent on projects that would drive the country towards Democrats’ goal of a 40-percent reduction in carbon output below 2005 levels by 2030. In reality, the funds set up a gigantic slush fund within the White House, available to Podesta as he set about boosting Democrats’ prospects in 2024. When Podesta was appointed, Gina McCarthy, Biden’s domestic climate adviser, left the White House. Perhaps she ...

10 Hard Facts About Ukraine and NATO

Image
By Kurt Schlichter President Donald Trump is trying to force not only Ukraine and Russia to make peace but also the Europeans to carry their own weight in the defense of their own continent. It’s astonishing how angry the establishment is about this. It’s almost as if they want this meat grinder to continue forever and for America to subsidize the Europeans’ bizarre social pathologies forever. But what can’t go on forever won’t go on forever. Change is coming. We have to start accepting some realities. Childish clichés and moral posturing have no place in foreign policy. When somebody starts answering your arguments by calling you literally Hitler and saying that you suck Putin’s toes, you can be absolutely sure they don’t want to contend with substantive arguments. But they’re going to have to. Trump is serious about ending this war and resetting our relationship with NATO. They aren’t going wait him out or shame him into submission. And let me make something clear at ...

BREAKING: Epstein files 'Phase 1' includes list of contacts, spans 100 pages

Image
By Post Millennial Trump Attorney General  Pam Bondi  is set to release Phase 1 of the Epstein files on Thursday, and an advance look at those files from the New York Post reveals that the document spans over 100 pages and includes a list of contacts. The release is part of a  promise  made by President Donald Trump while on the campaign trail. The source who gave these details to the  Post  said that the first release may be a "disappointment" to those who are interested to know exactly who partook of Epstein's scandalous, criminal services. Epstein was on trial for sex trafficking at the time of his death and is widely known to have catered to the sexual tastes of statesmen and celebrities alike by pimping out young girls. Speaking to Piers Morgan, White House counselor Alina Habba said that the files were "incredibly disturbing. We have flight logs, information, names that will come out." She also indicated that arrests would be forthcoming.  Hu...
