'Treating Stupid Is Really Hard': Dr. Oz Roasts TDS-Afflicted in His Turn at WH Press Briefing

By Bob Hoge

Since Karoline Leavitt went on maternity leave in late April, a roving cast has been handling the White House press briefings. We’ve seen Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent take the podium, and on Tuesday, it was Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Dr. Mehmet Oz’s turn. Like his predecessors, he brought some humor to the Brady Briefing Room.

He was asked about the debilitating effects of TDS and how we can combat the tragic disease. It’s very hard, he admitted:

But Dr. Oz also addressed some more serious subjects, too, including the TrumpRx federal prescription‑drug discount platform launched by President Trump in February. It’s expanding, he told reporters:

BREAKING: CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz announces a massive expansion to the TrumpRx program, adding 160 more medications to the platform, pushing the total to over 750 drugs.

"We are adding 160 more drugs to this site. Now, the site already has 700 or so or 600 or so, drugs. So it's going to take it over 750 total.”

“But that is an important number for other reasons. It means the four out of five medications that are picked up by Americans going into that same drug store that I mentioned earlier, now have the opportunity to double check that the price they're getting in that drugstore, wherever they're buying it from, is the best price out there."

Like other members of the Trump administration, Oz is outraged over the massive amount of fraud that’s been allowed to fester in seemingly all levels of government. He took a moment to “thank” former President Barack Obama:

And the mission to combat fraud is far from complete:

While I miss Leavitt’s briefings — she was excellent at conducting them and will presumably be so again in the future — it’s also been fun to see some of the administration officials address the throng.

Who’s next? I vote for Hegseth.
