Liberal Media Ignores the Ravaging of Britain
Last week, the British government released one of the most shocking reports in the history of Western civilization detailing the mass rape and abuse of tens of thousands of young girls – all while the authorities turned a blind eye. But if you only get your information from the liberal media, you likely know nothing about what should be the biggest international news story of the year.
As AMAC Newsline reported, Member of Parliament Rupert Lowe, who has quickly become a leading voice on the British right, released the report on June 16. For years, conservatives in Britain and throughout the Anglosphere had raised the alarm about so-called “grooming gangs” in the U.K., only to have liberals dismiss the claims of mass rape and abuse as “racist dog whistles” and “conspiracy theories.”
In fact, the British government was so eager to suppress public discussion of the country’s child rape epidemic that it imprisoned dozens of people for the heinous crime of posting about what was happening on social media. One of the rape gang victims was arrested for posting about her experience on social media. Former boxer Derek Heggie was sentenced to 10 months behind bars for making a YouTube video in which he stated that “young white girls are being raped by these grooming gangs that worship the Prophet Muhammed.”
The Rape Gang Inquiry proves Heggie exactly correct. Over the course of 200 pages, hundreds of survivors recount horrific stories of abuse. Girls as young as 11 and 12 years old report being raped hundreds of times. Many young girls had their genitals mutilated. Others were impregnated by their abusers and forced to undergo abortions. Others were drugged, beaten, burned, racially abused, trafficked throughout the country, forced to convert to Islam, and coerced into Islamic marriages.
Just as egregious as the abuse itself was the fact that British authorities explicitly enabled it. In one particularly revolting case, British police officers reportedly returned a young girl to a house where she was being abused and told the men there to “have fun with her.” As the Editorial Board at National Review put it, “Virtually every British institution — the police, the judiciary, the social-care services, the health-care system, the schools, and taxi-licensing bodies — had been made aware of the gangs, yet failed to appropriately intervene.”
With the release of the report, the British government is no longer able to pretend that the crisis doesn’t exist. But the liberal media is still doing its best to hide what happened by simply not covering the story at all.
The day after the inquiry was released to the public, there were zero stories about it on the BBC’s homepage. But as Rupert Lowe explained, it’s not like the news outlet was unaware of the inquiry. In fact, the BBC released a malicious story about funding for the report last year – which it was later forced to apologize for. But when the actual inquiry was released detailing the mass abuse of young girls? Crickets.
The American media has been equally complicit in its silence. I could locate zero stories on the rape gang inquiry from The New York Times – which famously prides itself on publishing “all the news that’s fit to print.” Same thing over at The Washington Post. Nothing at all from the dozens of “feminist” liberal commentators who constantly lecture us about the need to “believe all women” and tell the stories of victims of sexual violence.
To their credit, conservative and alternative media sources have done their best to break the liberal media’s veil of silence. Along with AMAC Newsline, outlets like National Review, The New York Post, The Washington Times, Just the News, Epoch Times, and various other online conservative influencers and bloggers have amplified the inquiry’s shocking details.
What could possibly motivate the liberal media to ignore such a story? The answer is that the victims are almost exclusively white girls, while the perpetrators are Muslim men to a vastly disproportionate degree.
In Rotherham, one of the epicenters of the crisis, 62 percent of convicted child sex offenders were of Pakistani origin, despite making up only four percent of the local population. Overall, approximately 87 percent of those convicted in group-based child sexual exploitation had “distinctly Muslim names.”
Many of the victims also reported that they were targeted specifically because of their white skin and their Christian faith. One victim stated that “being white was repeatedly used as a justification for the abuse or to minimise or dismiss the harm being inflicted.” She was mocked for being a Christian, with her abusers repeatedly saying that “her God had abandoned her.”
Also from the report: “Comments were constantly made suggesting that white girls and Christian girls were viewed as having degraded moral character or lower value, whereas Muslim girls were described by some of the men as having dignity and higher moral standing.”
The liberal media is attempting to bury the story because it utterly shatters the “progressive” worldview which holds that Christians and especially white people cannot be victims. It destroys the notion that non-white individuals can only be victims and never aggressors. And it crushes the liberal belief that multiculturalism is an inherent and universal good.
If the liberal media reports even the basic facts of the Rape Gang Inquiry, then they are implicitly acknowledging the disastrous effects of unchecked mass migration from non-Western nations. They are admitting that the progressive agenda is a colossal failure that leads to widespread suffering. They are revealing their own decades-long propaganda campaign for the complete scam that it is.
However, what the liberal media forgets is that its monopoly on information no longer exists. By attempting to bury this story, they are only drawing more attention to it through their refusal to cover it. And by showing that they are willing to cover up the mass rape and abuse of young girls to protect a political agenda, they are exposing how truly depraved and morally bankrupt they have become.
All the while, they wonder why their influence – and readership – continue to collapse.
