Something Canada's PM Carney Said About Obama Meetup Sparks a Lot of Attention About the 'Future'

It even had a music track.
That prompted many on social media to wonder what Obama was doing meeting with Carney, since Obama is no longer in government. Carney seemed to be implying they were somehow working on something to "build a better and more just future."
The official reason that Obama was in Canada: to deliver the keynote speech at a think tank event.
The 44th president is set to headline Canada 2020's gala at the Fairmont Royal York. [....]
The Canada 2020 event, which is not open to media, will mark his second visit to Toronto.
The think-tank says it aims to advance policy thinking to "drive a more just, inclusive and forward-thinking Canada."
So he's there to do more on advancing the Left's agenda. As though he hadn't done enough damage here; he wants to share with Canada, too.
As we already saw this week, the liberal agenda didn't do very well in the United Kingdom when the Labour Party got its head handed to it in a massive loss in local elections. But in typical liberal fashion, the U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer didn't want to give up power and refused to resign.
But that wasn't all. Carney is also going to meet with Democrats, former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) on Saturday.
Two potential 2028 Democratic presidential contenders are heading to Canada on Saturday for a summit with Prime Minister Mark Carney and center-left politicians from Europe.
Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., will speak alongside liberal politicians from other Western democracies at the event, which was organized by the Center for American Progress. Their focus: how to battle right-wing politicians on affordability.
It's a "Global Progress Action" meeting.
“How do we fight the authoritarian right?” asked CAP President Neera Tanden.
Tanden said they could learn from Carney, who moved to the right on some issues.
That's ultimately pretty hilarious if they're realizing that they have to at least pretend to be more to the right to have a chance to win in the elections. Expect them to be screaming about affordability - while not acknowledging how bad things were under Joe Biden.
But, of course, then voters also need to be aware of the liberal agenda, and that if you buy what they're trying to sell you, it's not going to end well.
