Memorial Day

“Our obligations to our country never cease but with our lives.” —John Adams

Patriots, we set aside Memorial Day to honor those who have died in the service of our nation’s Armed Forces — those who have abided by their solemn oaths “to support and defend” the American Liberty too many take for granted.

Accordingly, I invite you to read our Memorial Day tribute honoring American Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen who have died in the service of our nation, as well as honoring their families.

On Memorial Day, flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise until 12:00, your local time. Please join Patriots honoring veterans across our great nation by observing a moment of silence at 15:00 local time for remembrance and prayer, and extend a personal word of gratitude and comfort to surviving family members who grieve for a beloved warrior.

Read our Profiles of Valor on their service and sacrifice.

Finally, some businesses promote a “Memorial Day Sale.” Please advise them that Memorial Day is NOT for sale — 1,354,664 American Patriots have already paid the full price.

Thank God for the generations of ordinary citizens who faced extraordinary circumstances and summoned the greatest measures of courage to support and defend our nation.

Live your life worthy of their sacrifice.

“Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for his friends.” (John 15:13)

Join us in daily prayer for our Patriots in uniform, Veterans and their families — Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen — standing in harm’s way, and for our nation’s First Responders.
