Exclusive: Bernie Taps Scandal-Hit ActBlue for Socialist Senate Takeover With Platner, El-Sayed, Flanagan

By Rusty Weiss

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is tapping the scandal-plagued ActBlue platform — currently under DOJ investigation and congressional scrutiny for allegedly misleading lawmakers about foreign donations — to bankroll a hard-left Senate takeover effort.

Sanders is jointly fundraising for progressive Senate candidates Abdul El-Sayed (MI), Peggy Flanagan (MN), and Graham Platner (ME) via an ActBlue donation page that links to his own.

The new page, launched after Sanders campaigned alongside El-Sayed this past weekend, urges donors to help the trio “transform the Democratic Senate caucus overnight.”

The New York Times reported in April that ActBlue, the dominant Democratic fundraising platform, may have misled Congress about its safeguards against illegal foreign donations.

The finished project looks like it was designed by someone with a degree right out of the Quality Learing Center. The typos on that page are a thing to behold.

Internal legal memos, according to the Times, revealed that ActBlue’s outside law firm warned the organization that it had potentially misled Republican congressional investigators about how rigorously the platform vetted overseas contributions.

The revelations have only amplified ongoing DOJ and House GOP investigations. They have triggered internal turmoil, including mass resignations and firings on the organization's legal and compliance teams. And they have fueled accusations of a cover-up involving foreign money flowing into Democratic campaigns.

ActBlue employees invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination at least 146 times during congressional depositions as part of a House investigation into the alleged foreign donations, donor fraud, and a possible cover-up at the Democratic fundraising platform.

“Bernie Sanders is using ActBlue—Democrats’ scandal-plagued dark-money behemoth facing DOJ scrutiny over foreign donor vetting—to bankroll his socialist Senate slate," NRSC National Press Secretary Bernadette Breslin said in a statement to RedState.

"But as Graham Platner, Abdul El-Sayed, and Peggy Flanagan fight to carry Sanders’ mantle, Republicans are united behind lowering costs, securing the border, and defending our majority.”

Using a scandal-plagued platform currently accused of serving as a major conduit for foreign money to sway our elections, in an effort to fuel a socialist takeover of America, with some of the most controversial or mind-numbingly idiotic candidates being the beneficiaries, is all you need to know about the modern Democrat Party.

El-Sayed is a controversial figure due to his own antisemitic statements—such as accusing the Israeli government of being "just as evil" as Hamas—and his high-profile campaigning with far-left streamer Hasan Piker, who has declared that “America deserved 9/11.”

Platner has a chest tattoo of a skull-and-crossbones design known as the Totenkopf, a symbol long associated with Nazi SS units and concentration camp guards. But other than that, he seems like a swell guy.

Flanagan is a borderline nutjob, racing to get in front of a camera this past December and defend a Somali community in the midst of a fraud scandal that cost her state billions, all while wearing a hijabShe has boasted to anyone that will listen how she is “the first Native American woman to chair a national party committee in history," while claiming on her campaign website that she is a member of the White Earth Nation.

Not only would this triumvirate of lunacy “transform the Democratic Senate caucus overnight" as Bernie's fundraising plea states, but they'd have the potential to transform America overnight if they are part of a left-wing Senate takeover.
