Unconscionable: Democrats Vote to Continue Schumer Shutdown Amidst Terror Attacks, Chaos at Airports

Despite numerous terror attacks and absolute chaos at the airports as TSA agents quit in droves because they’re not getting paid, the Democrats once again voted Thursday to keep the partial government shutdown going and refused to restore funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
It's the fourth time since early February that extremist Democrats have voted to block DHS funding.
House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and his minions are literally putting American lives in peril as they continue to throw temper tantrums over not getting their way regarding their preposterous demands for reforms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Who would have ever guessed back in 2022 that then-candidate John Fetterman, now a sitting senator from Pennsylvania, would be the only Democrat in Congress who hasn’t lost his ever-loving mind?
Senate Democrats on Thursday defeated a motion to proceed to a House-passed bill to reopen the Department of Homeland Security and end the 27-day shutdown that has hampered the functions of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and other critical agencies.
The motion failed by a vote of 51 to 46. Centrist Sen. John Fetterman (Pa.) was the only Democrat to vote with Republicans to advance the funding bill. It needed 60 votes to advance.

As Schumer refuses to budge, GOP lawmakers called the Democrats out for apparently wanting to “peel apart” the agency charged with keeping our country secure:
Throughout the day, Senate Democrats tried to offer individual bills to fund pieces and parts of DHS. A fired-up Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, R-Wyo., accused Senate Democrats of trying to rip the agency apart at a moment it was designed for, as the war in Iran has spurred threats of retaliation in the U.S. by sleeper cells.
"And that’s at a time when our homeland is under attack, all warning lights are flashing red, and they want to peel apart, piece by piece, the Department of Homeland Security, the comprehensive department of our government to protect the American people, because they want to stand with illegal immigrant criminals," Barrasso said.

We’re used to Democrat theatrics and performative displays in the age of Trump, and they’re easy to mock because they are so often pathetic, but the latest stunts by the Left are no joke. They’re putting the security of our country — and risking American lives — just to “get” Trump.
