Whoopi Explains Why Her Name is in the Epstein Files: ‘I Wasn’t His Girlfriend’
By Chris Donaldson
Some of the Democrats who have whipped up a firestorm over the Epstein files as a way to politically harm President Donald J. Trump have been singed by the blowback after it was revealed that their names are also included in the documents.
That includes one of the co-hosts of ABC’s “The View,” and on Tuesday’s edition of the IQ-draining daytime gabfest, Whoopi Goldberg tried to explain to viewers what her relationship was and wasn’t to the notorious sex trafficker and pedophile, insisting that she wasn’t Epstein’s friend or girlfriend after being “dragged” online.
“In the name of transparency,” confessed the dreadlocked co-host, “my name is in the files.”
After two weeks of silence, The View finally addresses Whoopi Goldberg being in the Epstein files and seemingly requesting to borrow his jet.
JOY BEHAR: Anybody can be on this list.

“My is in the files. Yes. And what does it say? It says, ‘Whoopi needs a plane to get to Monaco. John Lennon’s charity’ — it should say ‘Julian Lennon’s charity is paying for it. They don’t want to charter, so they looking for private owners. Here’s the info.’ And they give all the information, and they’re saying, ‘Do you want to offer your GII?’ Okay,” she said, referring to the email.
“This is my point … when I tell you people are trying to turn me into — I wasn’t his girlfriend. I wasn’t his friend,” Goldberg added, reassuring the ladies at the table and the viewing audience that there was nothing sinister about her name being in the files.
“You were too old for him,” chirped co-host Sara Haines.
“I was not only too old, but it was at a time, you know, where this is just not — you used to have to have facts before you said stuff,” said Goldberg.
“But Trump is on the list 38,000 times,” interjected co-host Joy Behar, whose unhealthy obsession with the president has played out for more than a decade on “The View,” one of the Democratic Party’s most important messaging vehicles.
“I can’t speak to him,” Goldberg said of Trump, “but I’m speaking about me because I’m getting dragged. People actually believe that I was with him.”
“It’s like, honey, come on,” Whoopi added.
What she didn’t say – nor did her co-hosts point out – is that the mail in question is dated May 8, 2013, which is five years AFTER Epstein’s conviction as a pedophile.

It is important to note that just being mentioned in the Epstein files doesn’t mean that a person is guilty of any crimes or wrongdoing.
The released files are also chock full of other celebs and famous people, including numerous Democrats and celebrity mouthpieces of the party.
“A lot of people,” Haines remarked. “Because a lot of the reasons your name can be mentioned are news articles, third-party emails, contacts, again, wealthy, famous people often cross in professional and social circles, so that’s not the surprising part.”
