Ilhan Omar Is Not Going to Be Happy About What James Comer Just Posted
By Nick AramaHouse Oversight Committee Chair, Republican Rep. James Comer (KY-01), posted something sure to make Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) very unhappy.
As we've reported, the committee had questions about how Omar's husband was able to accumulate so much money, reportedly some $30 million, so quickly.
Now, as our sister site Twitchy observed, Comer is demanding answers and financial information from Omar's husband, Tim Mynett, as to two of his companies. Comer explained he wanted to know how the value of the companies had jumped so much, based on her financial disclosure forms. Omar has a stake in both companies. "Who's funding this?" Comer asked.

I’m demanding financial information from companies linked to Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s husband.
His companies reportedly went from $51K to $30 MILLION in one year — with zero investor information.
So we want to know:
Who’s funding this?
And who’s buying access? pic.twitter.com/mDluOqE9Wg
Comer demanded that Mynett, an investor and consultant, hand over documents pertaining to two companies, eStCru LLC and Rose Lake Capital, including financial statements and travel records. [....]
The Oversight chairman asked for “[a]ll documents and communications related to travel by anyone affiliated with Rose Lake Capital LLC or eStCru LLC to the United Arab Emirates, Somalia, or Kenya, or travel undertaken to solicit business connected to those countries.” [....]
The letter cites a dramatic jump between 2023 and 2024 in the couple’s self-reported wealth, with Mynett’s stake in the two firms worth “between $15,001 and $50,000” in 2023 and between $6 million and $30 million in 2024.
Comer also mentioned in the first sentence that the committee is investigating the massive fraud that has gone on in Minnesota in the social services in the state.
According to reports, Omar and her husband had previously faced an investigation under the Biden administration, but they took no action, and the pair denies any wrongdoing.
So we'll have to see what Omar's husband supplies in response to the request. The next step from here for the committee, if they get no response, would be a potential subpoena.
We see they did hold the Clintons' feet to the fire when it came to their testimony in the Epstein matter.
They took the Clintons to a committee vote on contempt to force them to give depositions. The Clintons knew they were in trouble when even some of the Democrats on the committee voted to advance the contempt vote. So now the Clintons are scheduled for February 26 and 27.
We'll keep an eye on what happens with Omar and her husband, and let you know. People on social media cheered the action and urged more.
