BREAKING: Iranian Regime Defies Trump Ultimatum on Strait of Hormuz

Image
By Catherine Salgado On Saturday, March 21, President Donald Trump delivered a 48-hour ultimatum to the Iranian regime to stop terrorizing the strategic Strait of Hormuz or face devastating consequences. The Iranian Islamic regime has defied the ultimatum and promised to shut down the strait altogether. It is hardly surprising that the Iranian regime is doubling down, considering that it is run by fundamentalist Muslim fanatics who truly believe Allah has given them a mission to fight the “great Satan” America to the death. This defiance does, however, illustrate clearly to the world why the joint U.S.-Israel Operation Epic Fury is necessary and how fully justified Trump is in carrying through on his ultimatum. Trump  had warned , “If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST! Thank you for your ...

Sunday Vote: Senate Nudges Mullin Closer to DHS Post

Image
By Susie Moore On Sunday afternoon, the Senate voted to invoke cloture on the nomination of Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) to serve as Secretary of Homeland Security. This procedural vote to cut off debate on the matter follows a confirmation hearing and committee vote that were at times dramatic, and paves the way for a final confirmation vote either Monday evening or Tuesday. Senate now taking procedural vote to break filibuster on Mullin/DHS nomination. Needs a simple majority. Confirmation likely tomorrow night or Tuesday — Chad Pergram (@ChadPergram) March 22, 2026 Only a simple majority was needed here, and the motion passed 54-37 at roughly 1:45 PM Eastern. 🚨 BREAKING: The US Senate just ADVANCED President Trump's nomination of Markwayne Mullin for DHS Secretary, 54-37 John Fetterman (D-PA) joined Republicans Huge win! Captain Kirk at 95: 'Never Waste a Good Cigar, and Never Act Your Age'

Image
By Ward Clark Captain James Tiberius Kirk - the guy who plays William Shatner in real life - has had a birthday. He's now 95, and in the inimitable style of the intrepid starship captain who never met a green-skinned alien woman he wouldn't get it on with, he's offering us all some  insights into his longevity . At 95, I'm still smokin'! 😝 I’ve learned two things: Never waste a good cigar. Never trust anyone who says you should ‘act your age.’ 😉👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/POpUEYh3gp — William Shatner (@WilliamShatner) March 22, 2026 That's good advice. On Sunday, a Fox News piece gave us more details on how  Captain Kirk spent his birthday . The "Star Trek" star also shared two pictures of himself in honor of his birthday, including one of himself smiling at the beach and another as he enjoyed his cigar. His advice comes just over a week after he revealed he needed surgery  following a horse riding accident  that took place last year. Shatner shared t...

Fellowship of Fools: Activist Groups Pour Into Cuba, As If the Citizens Have Not Suffered Enough Already

Image
By Brad Slager With the word going out this week that Cuba is suffering an island-wide blackout, it has served as a grand backdrop for social activists who are adept primarily at serving their egos. Code Pink has sent a battalion of biddies to the island. Also arriving is the unintentionally ironically-named grifter Hasan Piker, as well as a contingent of similarly-inflated groups from other nations. As I explained just a couple of weeks ago, the issues in Cuba are far-reaching and have been long in the works. It is farcical enough to lay the blame for all of the strife at the feet of the U.S., but blaming President Trump for generations of commie mismanagement is just too much to swallow, even with three mojitos to chase that down. Most of these groups are bringing food and supplies with them. That is all well and good, but when you see the size of the crowds descending on Havana, there is a feeling that their “assistance” is becoming a push; after all, you need to supply these su...

MSNOW Host Wants to Invoke the 25th Amendment on Trump for the DUMBEST Reason

Image
By Matt Margolis Leave it to MSNOW to take a laugh line and turn it into a constitutional crisis. On Thursday, President Donald Trump sat down with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi for a bilateral meeting at the White House. During the meeting, a Japanese reporter pressed Trump on why U.S. allies — Japan included — weren't given advance notice before America's strike on Iran. Trump's response was vintage Trump: "Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Okay? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?" He followed it up with a grin: "No, I think you believe in surprise, I think much more so than us." Q: "Why didn't you tell U.S. allies…about the war before attacking Iran?" President Trump: "We wanted surprise. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?" pic.twitter.com/esV9iyvMiV — CSPAN (@cspan) March 19, 2026 The room laughed. U.S. officials laughed. The press lau...

Democrats Are Quietly Replacing Schumer, and He’s the Last to Know

Image
By Ben Smith Chuck Schumer (D-NY) remains the Senate Democratic leader, but inside his own party, some Democrats are quietly testing whether he could be replaced. According to a Wall Street Journal  report , that process has already begun behind the scenes, with lawmakers conducting informal vote counts to determine whether there is enough support to remove the New York Democrat from his leadership position. “Some lawmakers had been doing informal counts to see whether enough votes existed to remove the New York Democrat from his leadership position.” The concern is not limited to individual senators. Meetings among Democratic chiefs of staff have included discussions about how to pressure Schumer to step  aside . “Many said the concern about Schumer’s leadership was widespread… meetings between Democratic chiefs of staff… often veer into… how to pressure him to step aside.” Senators, including Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Tina Smith (D-MN), have all b...

Mamdani Celebrates Ramadan With Incarcerated Suspects at Rikers Island. What About the Victims?

Image
By Bob Hoge Democrat socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani celebrated the Muslim holy month of Ramadan the way any normal person would: by breaking bread with hardened criminals and suspects at the notorious Rikers Island Jail Complex. Wait, actually, most people wouldn’t celebrate a holiday on Rikers, much less step foot on it if they could possibly avoid it. Zohran, however, dances to the beat of his own drummer, so on Monday, he visited with incarcerated Muslims and broke fast with them. (So people of other faiths were denied a seat at the table? Asking for a friend.) He reminisced about "the night that will stay with me for quite some time" in a Friday social media post: Earlier this week, I broke fast at Rikers Island with New Yorkers in custody, Department of Correction staff, Commissioner Stanley Richards, and Councilmember Yusef Salaam. It was a night that will stay with me for quite some time. People sharing what little they have: breaking… pic.twitter.com...

'We Need More Time' for Costly Climate Change Law That's Raising Utility Rates, Says NY Gov. Hochul

Image
By Ward Clark Facts are a harsh mistress. And nobody seems more incapable of grasping facts than Democrats in general, and New York's Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in particular. In her latest embarrassing slip-up, the climate law she supported, and the Empire States ever-more-onerous taxes are driving all the wealthy people, the people who start and run businesses and provide jobs, out of the state. Now, because of the green policies, utility rates are climbing, meaning that a big chunk of the rest of the residents of New York are looking to the exits as well.  Now Governor Hochul wants to delay full implementation of the lunatic climate laws, hoping that someone will decide to stay put - or that some who have already fled to Florida, Texas or Tennessee might come back. Yeah, good luck with that. As our sister site Hot Air  wrote earlier  on Saturday: Kathy Hochul is up for reelection this year, and has a big, big problem: for all the talk about an "affordability"...

22 Times Democrats Invited Noncitizens To Vote In U.S. Elections

Image
By Brianna Lyman Senate Democrats are currently blocking the SAVE America Act, which would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo ID to cast a ballot. They insist the legislation is unnecessary, arguing noncitizen voting is already illegal. Sen. Alex Padilla  said  noncitizen voting in federal elections “is already a felony” and that the legislation is a “misguided ‘solution’ in search of a problem that does not exist.” It’s the same rhetoric the ACLU of Illinois uses that Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL)  shared  as part of an official statement. The SAVE America Act is a “solution in search of a problem,” the statement, shared by Durbin, read. But look no further than Democrat-led cities to find the “problem,” where Democrats have been fighting to let noncitizens vote in local elections. New York City Democrats fought to  permit  800,000 noncitizens to vote in municipal elections, which includes the races for mayor, council memb...

Senate Votes to Make Lawmakers Wait in TSA Security Lines Like Everyone Else

Image
By Ward Clark Sometimes it seems like members of Congress forget that they aren't an anointed elite; they are our employees. Yes, they have important jobs, and yes, their time is valuable. But some of the perks seem a little galling to the rest of us. Case in point: Representatives and senators have long enjoyed the perk of being able to be fast-tracked through TSA (Transportation Security Administration) checkpoints in airports, or even to skip them altogether. Now the Senate has voted to end that perk. I say, good; make them  wait in line like everybody else . The Senate approved by unanimous consent Thursday a proposal to end the special treatment members of Congress get at airports that allows them to speed through or skip the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) screening checkpoints. Sen.  John Cornyn  (R-Texas) proposed the legislation on the Senate floor Thursday night to force Democratic colleagues to have to wait in the same long security lines as ...
