The two lawyers who will represent the former president in the upcoming Senate trial are David Schoen, an attorney from Alabama, and Bruce Castor Jr., a former prosecutor in Pennsylvania. This comes a day after media reports, citing anonymous sources, said an earlier group of attorneys from South Carolina were no longer participating in the defense. South Carolina-based lawyer Butch Bowers  had previously been tapped to lead the president’s legal team  but parted ways over differing opinions on the direction of the defense arguments, the reports said. The  New York Times   confirmed  on Friday that “an official in the Pentagon just signed a memo approving the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine to the detainee population in Guantanamo,” including terrorists like Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind the 9/11 terror attacks. By Julio Rosas The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced new COVID-19 restrictions on restaurants now that the outdoor dining ban has been lifted that have people once again scratching their heads.  The Public Health Department is banning restaurants from having TVs on for their customers to watch programming while they are eating. "Televisions or any other screens that are used to broadcast programming must be removed from the area or turned off. This provision is effective until further notice," the order states. It appears the order was created to curtail gatherings at restaurants for the upcoming Super Bowl LV, which will pit the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on February 7. HD Media Company this week filed a  lawsuit  asking a federal court to determine whether the two Silicon Valley companies had violated anti-trust laws. The lawsuit claims Google had unlawfully exercised monopoly power of the digital advertising market, which has prevented newspapers from competing in the market and losing their primary source of revenue. Let’s consider for a moment, purely for the sake of argument, that this were actually true. If folk, including governors, started treating Trump as the legitimate president and, therefore, the election illegitimate, what’s to stop them from treating an impeachment or indictment as equally illegitimate? Even imprisonment (follow that indictment with a show trial and send him to prison) wouldn’t stop it.
