Central Texas duo kills 460-pound feral hog in Proctor

Image
“It might have been the biggest hog we’ve been upon,” Colton Roberts said. “But never expected to catch one that big.” PROCTOR, Texas — There are a few less feral hogs in Central Texas today, and there are two young men curious if their Wednesday morning outing in Comanche County just might have set a wild boar record. Nathan Wright, 17, and Colton Roberts, 20, were using dogs to hunt wild hogs near Proctor two hours southwest of Dallas. Their chosen method, one of many that are legal in the state of Texas, was to use dogs to chase and attack the feral hogs and then, with the animal cornered, dispatch it with a knife. Of the three wild hogs they killed that morning, one wild boar tipped the scales at 460 pounds. “It might have been the biggest hog we’ve been upon,” Colton Roberts said. “But never expected to catch one that big.” “It’s just a big adrenaline rush for us is what it is,” Nathan Wright said. “And you get up there close and you get a big adrenaline rush and I gu...

FNC's Carlson Rips Obama for 'Desecrating' John Lewis Funeral with Campaign Slogans -- 'Political Power Is Their Religion'

Image
Thursday, Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson took a shot at former President Barack Obama for the political tones of his eulogy delivered at Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) funeral earlier in the day. Obama said of ways to continue Lewis’ legacy, “By ending some of the partisan gerrymandering — so that all voters have the power to choose their politicians, not the other way around. And if all this takes eliminating the filibuster — another Jim Crow relic — in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that’s what we should do.” After airing a video clip of the speech, Carlson criticized Obama, adding the speech was proof of a cynical effort by the left and Democrats to gain power. “It’s hard to believe that clip is real, but it is, down to the clawing fake accent, Mr. Hawaii guy,” Carlson said. “But take three steps back — imagine if some greasy politician showed up at your loved one’s funeral and started throwing around stupid partisan...

Missouri AG intervenes in case against St. Louis couple who defended their home with guns

Image
By Law Enforcement Today Editor note: A previous version of this story suggested all charges were dropped against the couple.  That is not yet formally the case.  The Missouri AG is still seeking to dismiss the case.  We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this breaking story as new details become available. ST. LOUIS, MO – Kim Gardner, Circuit Attorney for St. Louis, brought charges against a local couple last month who were caught on video brandishing weapons on the porch of their mansion. Now the Missouri Attorney General is stepping in. Mark and Patricia McCloskey’s response to a mob of protesters tearing down the gate to a private driveway and trespassing across their yard went viral. The McCloskey’s who are both attorneys, were eating dinner on their patio when several hundred Black Lives Matter protesters, tore down a gate to gain access to a private community that was clearly marked as private with “No Trespassing” signs. Mark McCloskey claims that the p...

Anthony Fauci Floats Eye Protection and Masks for Every Flu Season Ever

Image
By JOHN NOLTE Dr. Anthony “The Fraud” Fauci is now floating the idea face shields or goggles should be worn, and masks are a good idea during flu season. “Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested Wednesday that Americans should consider wearing goggles or a face shield in order to prevent spreading or catching COVID-19,”  reports  the far-left ABC News. Oh, it gets worse… “It is inevitable that we’re going to have some degree of flu,” he added. “I’m hoping that the wearing of masks and other coverings are going to not only protect us against COVID-19, but also help protect us against influenza.” Wow. Things have really changed around here. Remember when Fraud Fauci said  this … “People should not be walking around with masks,” Fauci told  60 Minutes  just a few months ago in the early days of the China Flu outbreak. “When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better, and it might even block a droplet...

Michigan Bed And Breakfast Owners Remove Norwegian Flag After Backlash

Image
By Jon Brown A couple who runs a bed and breakfast near Lansing, Michigan, removed a display of the Norwegian flag after passersby repeatedly mistook it for the Confederate battle flag. According to the Lansing State Journal, Greg and Kjersten Offenbecker took down the Norwegian flag adorning The Nordic Pineapple, a bed and breakfast they run out of their home in St. Johns, Michigan, about 24 miles north of Lansing. The stately Civil War-era house was built by a Union brevet general in 1861, and sprawls over nearly 9,000 square feet. Kjersten Offenbecker’s grandfather was born in Norway, and the establishment is named for her Norwegian heritage. The flag received little attention since they moved to the property in 2018, but the turmoil roiling the country in recent weeks has seen the Offenbeckers’ inbox flooded with “at least a dozen hateful emails,” and even more disapproving comments. Kjersten Offenbecker told the local paper that she first heard members of the community...

If Social Media Wants to Play Doctor, They Should Prepare To Be Sued for Malpractice

Image
Twitter and Facebook should not be restricting legitimate medical policy debate on their platforms. By Adam Mill Most  people understand that the constitutional guarantee of free speech does not include falsely yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater. A panicked mob can crush or trample weak and vulnerable people as the instinct to survive overtakes common decency. This maxim came to mind when Breitbart announced that Twitter and Facebook censored a press conference by actual doctors describing their life-saving lessons learned from treating actual COVID-19 patients. Among the lessons discussed was the prophylactic use of a combination of hydroxychloroquine and other inexpensive therapies that seem to stop the dreaded disease from advancing to its deadly second phase. One doctor said she treated over 300 COVID-19 patients using the therapy. These patients included vulnerable patients with diabetes, heart conditions, and advanced age. She proudly announced she h...
