How Do We Live With Each Other After the Election Is Over?

Image
By RICK MORAN It's a very safe bet that the election will not end on November 5. It most likely won't even end on November 6, 7, 8, or maybe weeks after Election Day. Votes have to be counted, but it's far more than the votes. There will be challenges to procedures. There will be challenges when ballots are received. There will be challenges to ballots themselves. And the longer the time period between when they start counting votes and when a winner is declared, the more anxiety will roil the United States. It's a foregone conclusion that bipartisanship after the election was never a realistic hope. But that doesn't mean we have to be at each other's throats. Bonnie Kristian, editorial director of ideas and books at Christianity Today, says that even though our differences in this election matter, and some of those differences matter a lot, "they are not  all  that matters, and they do not determine how we treat each other." The Dis

Leftists Accuse Gorsuch Of Caring Too Much About Normal People And Not Enough About Bureaucrats

Image
By Mollie Hemingway  The left’s latest attack stems from Gorsuch’s new book on the government going after regular Americans. Three years before he  threatened him  while standing on the steps of the Supreme Court, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said the problem with Neil Gorsuch was that his decisions as a federal judge were  awful for the average working American . “When the chips are down, far too often he sides with the powerful few over everyday Americans just trying to get a fair shake,” the powerful  Schumer said  against Gorsuch’s nomination. On the first day of those confirmation hearings,  Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said , “In case after case, you have dismissed or rejected efforts by workers and families to recognize their rights or defend their freedoms.” Now, Gorsuch’s left-wing critics say his problem is actually the complete opposite. They say he cares too much about the little guy and not enough about the bureaucracy that goes after the little guy. Yes, really. The crit

Here Are Some Opportunities to Pray for Tomorrow's Election

Image
By Chris Queen The statement that this election matters more than any other falls somewhere between hyperbole and cliché, but most voters understand the urgency of the presidential contest. Faithful believers across the country are praying for this election to go the right way. Last week, my friend and colleague Stephen Kruiser and I released an episode of our “Faith All Over the Place” podcast entitled “ Pray Your Way to Election Day .” We talked about what we can pray for regarding the election and how to pray. Naturally, we want to pray that Donald Trump wins the election. But we also need to pray that God’s will be done (which it will) and that whoever wins the election will govern with wisdom and with the interests of the American people at heart. Any day is a good day to pray, of course, but the day before the election is a particularly good time to hit your knees and ask the Lord to bless tomorrow’s vote. I’ve seen several posts on social media that people all

Inspiring Tucker Carlson Ad Tells Tale of the American People and the Importance of Voting for Trump

Image
By Nick Arama Democrats and the liberal media have always had a fundamental misperception about former President Donald Trump.  It isn't Trump that created the rise of the people. The people who question the powers that be and the media.  It's the people questioning those things that created the Donald Trump phenomenon. It was Trump who understood those concerns, who was not the regular establishment politician, who answered the call and became a voice for the people.  We've seen a lot of good ads for the GOP nominee. I wrote on Sunday about one that Nicole Shanahan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s former running mate, put out that was very powerful and showed the unity ticket, bringing in people from all sides to help the country. People like Elon Musk, RFK Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard.  It showed far more than Kamala Harris talking about the execrable Liz Cheney because it also showed how such a team could help transform and solve a lot of the issues that have been unaddressed

'Donald Trump Scares Me. The Left Scares Me Far More'

Image
Comedian Bridget Phetasy says she is voting against what she calls "anti-civilization behavior" from the Left. By Bridget Phetasy If you had told the Bridget of 2016 that the Bridget of 2024 was going to vote for Donald J. Trump, I would have said, "Wow, that's unfortunate. I lose my mind in the future." Here I am, I'm voting for Donald Trump, but not really for Donald Trump. I'm voting against the Left and many of the things that they stand for. I've been very open about a lot of my hesitations in voting for Donald Trump. I've been accused of being a "MAGA Karen" and a woman with "Trump derangement syndrome" enough that most of you know I am very much a person who feels torn when it comes to a lot of these decisions. But as I evaluate my body of work over the past eight years, and as I think about decisions I've made in my own personal life over the past five years, and as I've seen what's happened to man

Harris Appears On SNL, FCC Commissioner Claims Appearance Violates ‘Equal Time’ Rule

Image
By Abril Elfi Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on the final episode of “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) before the election, with what might be a violation of an Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rule.  On Saturday, Harris appeared on the episode as the “mirror image” of herself, portrayed by Maya Rudolph.  The skit started with Rudolph wondering, “I wish I could talk to someone who’s been in my shoes. You know, a Black, south Asian woman running for president. Preferably from the Bay Area.” Then Harris was revealed to be sitting across the vanity from her, when she said, “You and me both, sister.” The vice president then took a shot at former President Donald Trump and said “I’m just here to remind you, you got this. Because you can do something your opponent cannot do. You can open doors.” Trump was seen struggling for a moment to open the door of the garbage truck where he spoke with reporters earlier this week. The garbage truck and vest were intended to highlight Biden’s
